✨ The Power of One Caring Person

I’m deeply honored to be featured in this article by the University of Pittsburgh School of Education: “The Power of One Caring Person.” 💛

🌎 My journey from an international student in the U.S. to designing the One Caring Person Program has never been about me. It’s about the people who believed in me, the students who share their voices and stories, and the practitioners who walk alongside them every day.

I’m humbled that the challenges I once carried—language barriers, cultural adjustment, moments of feeling unseen—have become the foundation for something meaningful. As I reflect, I’m reminded that belonging often begins with a single caring connection. As I shared in the article:

“You don’t always need a lot of people. Sometimes you just need one person.”

To the mentors, colleagues, and students who have walked beside me: thank you.
And to the students I serve today: I see you, I believe in you, and I’m committed to helping you turn your strengths into your story.

Here’s to the power of one caring person — and to building communities where every student knows they belong.
